Win a Trip to Gulf Shores Alabama Beaches

October 17, 2014 by Meghan Cooper

Orange-Beach-Dunes

It’s getting colder so it’s the perfect time to head to the beach for some last minute sun bathing and fun. Take your fall break in Gulf Shores! With oyster cookouts and Blue Angels air shows there are lots of great things to do in Gulf Shores. When we visited Gulf Shores this past year we discovered all the fun and great food and kid friendly restaurants in the area.

Gulf Shores and Orange Beach’s 32 miles of sugar-white beaches stretch along a 27,000 acre island on the northernmost coast of the Gulf of Mexico. Sand dunes covered in sea oats and turquoise waters are the norm on the coast while inland areas feature live oaks and pines. Freshwater lakes, rivers, bayous and coves add nearly 400,000 acres of protected water to the area.

Check out the calendar of events happening in the area.

Did you know that there really is an app for that? Actually there are three!

Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism Travel Apps

  • Gulf Beaches App: Explore Gulf Shores & Orange Beach, Alabama. You’ll find information on places to stay, dine and shop, plus all the fun things to do on the Alabama Gulf Coast.
  • Scenic Byway App: Alabama’s Coastal Connection is a national scenic byway that runs along the Gulf Coast. Learn about history, gardens, seafood, beaches, fishing and many other great attractions.
  • Backcountry App: Learn about the Backcountry Trail in Orange Beach, Alabama. It’s a great place for hiking, biking and exploring nature.

The fine print:

The certificate expires 12/31/14.
