If you’re a movie lover you won’t want to miss the Atlanta Film Festival happening April 4-14, 2019. Over 11 days, the festival will present 180+ feature films, short films, special presentations and creative media, including an array of music videos, virtual reality and episodic pilots. Among these selected films, 20 percent were born and bred through production or filmmaker(s) from Georgia.

- Disneynature’s PENGUINS (Saturday, April 6 at 10:30 AM at Plaza Theatre) – We’re thrilled to welcome Disneynature’s latest feature film “Penguins” to this year’s festival! The film is a coming-of-age story about an Adélie penguin named Steve who joins millions of fellow males in the icy Antarctic spring on a quest to build a suitable nest, find a life partner and start a family.
HoneyI Shrunk the Kid Films (Kids Shorts) (Sunday, April 14 at 12:00 PM at Plaza Theatre) – This short film block includes 7 family-friendly animated short films for the whole family to enjoy. Several of these short films have screeners available for you to view ahead of time in our Press Assets folder HERE.
- THE BIGGEST LITTLE FARM (Sunday, April 7 at 12:00 PM at Plaza Theatre) – This documentary feature is one of our 13 marquee screenings and follows a couple attempting to create a utopian farm outside of LA, complete with animals of every kind such as Greasy the Rooster and Emma the pig. This film is a part of our ever-popular “Food on Film” series – more info to come on this event!
