Super Bowl Events Around Atlanta

As Super Bowl LIII rolls into town the city is preparing for the influx of tourists visiting Atlanta. Whether you’re a sports fan or not, here are some of the events you can expect to see around the city. There are a lot of free events that are provided by sponsors that are family-friendly and in some cases free!  You won’t want to miss these Super Weekend events.

Official Super Bowl Events 

Super Bowl Experience Driven by Hyundai 

The experience is the NFL’s interactive theme park celebrating Super Bowl LIII from Saturday, January 26 – Saturday, February 2 in Georgia World Congress Center (Building B). At the Super Bowl Experience, you can participate in immersive exhibits and interactive games, take photos with the Vince Lombardi Trophy, collect free NFL player and Legend autographs, get an up-close look at the collection of all 52 Super Bowl rings and more! 

With the purchase of one $20 adult ticket, up to 3 complimentary tickets for kids 12 and under will be offered at the Super Bowl Experience Box Office only Monday, January 28 through Wednesday, January 30. 

Nickelodeon’s Double Dare is coming to Super Bowl Experience – 1/31/19

The halftime show isn’t the only music you can experience during the Super Bowl! Not even close! There are tons of concerts happening downtown and some are even free!

This experience will give Atlanta locals and visitors alike a unique and free opportunity to be a part of Super Bowl LIII. Visitors can experience everything from music, technology, Art, NASA astronauts, and food trucks in Centennial Olympic Park.

Saturday Frbuary 2 – Cobb Galleria

The Taste of the NFL’s annual strolling wine and food event features a chef from each NFL city serving their signature dish alongside a current or alumni NFL player. The result? 35+ food stations where guests can sample fine cuisine, meet and mingle with renowned chefs and NFL greats and participate in a silent auction with unique sports memorabilia and other exciting items. All supporting the Kick Hungry Challenge.

Super Bowl Music Fest – State Farm Arena

College Football Hall of Fame

The College Football Hall of Fame will be extending its visiting hours and hosting lots of great events for fans. They are even hosting a private welcoming party for the New Englad Patriots (how cool is that)!

Thursday January 31 

Lombardi Lunch Get tickets – Join us for the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation’s annual Leaders For A Cure Luncheon honoring Atlanta-based individuals and companies leading the fight against cancer! The luncheon will feature current and former NFL Players and the Vince Lombardi Trophy will be on site for you to take photos with! First and Goal Comedy Show/Concert – Get tickets – Join film and television star and comedic icon Cedric the Entertainer as he presents the premiere edition of The 1st & Goal Comedy Bowl series on Super Bowl Weekend 

Saturday, February 2

Sports Illustrated Saturday Night Lights Party – Get tickets

19th Annual Celebrity Flag Football Challenge 

Organized by Celebrity Sweat, the 19th annual Celebrity Flag Football Challenge will kick off Feb. 2 at 1pm at SunTrust Park. The star-studded teams will be led by NFL alum Doug Flutie and Hip-Hop sensation Quavo against former Falcon Michael Vick and NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin with additional pro-athletes, celebrities and musicians such as Andre Reed, Ron Jaworski and former Falcon and Atlanta Brave Brian Jordan. The full line ups will be announced closer to the event. 

Gates to the Celebrity Flag Football Challenge will open at 11:30 a.m. for pregame activities, including the annual Military Scrimmage between the pros and members of the Armed Forces and performances featuring local marching bands, cheerleaders and mascots from the Atlanta Public Schools. Atlanta Winter Beer Fest – Atlanta Beer Festivals hosts the Atlanta Winter Beer Fest during a Super Weekend, on Saturday, February 2, 2019, 1pm-5pm. Enjoy 150+ beers, 25+ Wines and Ciders, Live Music, and DJ Q-TIP

We will feature the best breweries Atlanta and Georgia have to offer, as well as a brewery or 2 from the home town of the big game contestants.

Tickets include entry, entertainment, souvenir cup, and all beer, wine and cider samples. $55 day of the event.

Sunday, Feb. 3

Big Game Brunch – Atlanta Wine Festivals hosts Big Game Brunch at Atlantic Station on Sunday, February 3, 2019, 11 am to 3 pm on the big game day. Get your big day started with an all-inclusive brunch events with great food from Atlanta restaurants and bottomless Mimosas, Bloodys, Beer & Wine All-inclusive tickets, $75 day of event.

World of Coca-Cola

On Friday, Feb. 1, World of Coca-Cola will host a “Champions Chat” featuring none other than “Mean” Joe Greene and Carl Banks, moderated by Desmond Howard. Fans won’t want to miss these three former NFL champions swapping stories from the glory days, commenting on this year’s match-up and answering questions from the audience. The event will take place from 2:15 to 3 p.m. and is free with general admission tickets to the attraction.

In celebration of this year’s Big Game, a special, limited-time exhibit showcases footballs, jerseys, ads and other items from the Coca-Cola Archives. 

Coca-Cola Game Day Magic and Coca-Cola Zero Game Day Magic will be available for a limited time on Coca-Cola Freestyle in the Taste It! Beverage Lounge. 

On Feb. 1 and 2, football fans can capture the moment by snapping a group shot in an interactive, football-themed photo opp. Not only will they walk away with free printed images – they can also share their experience instantly on social media. Photos posted using #WorldofCocaCola could even be featured on the attraction’s website or social channels.

Children’s Museum of Atlanta

Jan. 31-Feb. 2.

Kick off the Big Game at Children’s Museum of Atlanta where there will be a celebration of football and sports programming for the whole family! Learn the importance of staying active during the Planet Rock mini-musical or participate in our Tiny Football Combine during our daily Music and Movement programs! Check out the science behind sports equipment at our interactive Science Bar or build your own mini goal posts and finger footballs for your at-home field goal practice! Before you leave, pay homage to your favorite team at the Art Studio by making your own cheerleading pom-poms or designing your own sports jersey!
